1. Lease terms
All storage is month-to-month under a separate written rental agreement signed at move-in. These site terms supplement, and do not replace, that rental agreement. If the two conflict, the signed rental agreement controls.
2. First month free
"First month free" applies to your first calendar month of tenancy and is conditioned on: (a) signing a valid rental agreement, (b) providing a credit/debit card on file, (c) keeping the unit at least 60 days. Early move-out within 60 days forfeits the discount.
3. Prohibited items
Per the rental agreement and Texas law, you may NOT store: hazardous materials, flammable liquids/fuels, explosives, live or dead animals, perishable food, illegal substances, stolen property, weapons (other than legally registered firearms in compliance with Texas law).
4. Insurance
Self Storage Austin TX does NOT insure tenant property. Tenants must maintain their own insurance (homeowners, renters or storage-specific policy). Affordable storage insurance is available through our partner at move-in.
5. Default and lien sale
If you fall behind on rent, your unit becomes subject to the storage lien process under Texas Property Code Chapter 59. We will send statutory notices to your last-known address and may auction contents to satisfy the lien.
6. Limitation of liability
Self Storage Austin TX's total liability for any loss or damage is capped at the amount specified in the rental agreement (typically $5,000 unless tenant declares and pays for higher coverage). Acts of God, fire, theft, vandalism, pests and water damage are not covered absent gross negligence.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes are resolved in Travis County, Texas.
